Latam Flight 4049 was scheduled to fly from Santa Marta to Bogota in Colombia, but the small passenger refused to follow the crew's instructions, prompting the pilot-in-command to cancel the takeoff. According to eyewitnesses, the boy did not want to stay in place and fasten his seat belt. 
The child and his father were asked to leave the plane. Because of this altercation, the flight at Simon Bolivar International Airport was delayed for more than an hour. 
Video footage shows angry passengers demanding the boy be taken out and calling on staff to “do something.”
The flight attendant announced: “Dear passengers, we inform you that if the instructions are not followed, we cannot begin the flight. We are now waiting for the passengers who violated the rules to leave the board. We are guided by safety principles.”
Eventually an airport employee came on board and convinced the father to leave the ship. However, not everyone approved of this decision. One woman defended the boy: “He has rights, he’s a child.”
