An Australian teenager was hospitalized after an encounter with a great white shark. He caught the predator with a fishing rod and dragged it onto a small boat, but the catch grabbed onto the fisherman.
The incident occurred off the coast of South Australia.
According to local residents, the teenager pulled the shark on board, and it turned sharply and bit him on the leg.
Doctors provided first aid to the victim on the shore. They quickly stopped the bleeding and took the guy to Adelaide Hospital.
The teenager's father, Michael Ness, said: "He was screaming and asking, 'Get her away!' Take her away!" I grabbed her by the jaws, fortunately, the shark opened its mouth, and my son threw her back into the water."
The length of the predator was about 2 meters in length.
As the child was placed in the ambulance, he asked his father, “Can we go fishing again tomorrow?”
A day earlier, another person was rushed to hospital after being attacked by a shark in the west of the country.
According to police, doctors did not know about the incident until the surfer went to the hospital.
He was immediately taken to hospital and is now in a stable condition, a Western Australia health spokesman said in a statement.
