On the afternoon of October 23, two robbers from São Paulo approached a courier and stole his bags. However, the perpetrators didn't get far.
The robbery was observed by a military police officer who was off duty that day. He was in a cell phone store at the time of the attack, quickly realized what was happening outside, and without further ado, opened fire.
One suspect was killed; his 40-year-old accomplice attempted to fire a weapon, but the gun misfired. He didn't have time to escape; passersby tackled him to the ground.
