Failed assassination attempt on a retired police officer

In the Brazilian city of Belém, a hitman attempted to shoot retired police sergeant Raimundo Jorge Corrêa Vilhena. Fortunately, the attacker's gun misfired.

It happened outside a small shopping center, where the law enforcement officer was "watching the merchandise" (in other words, moonlighting as a security guard).

Raimundo was incredibly lucky – the gun of the attacker who came for him misfired (and misfired several times), and the former law enforcement officer was hospitalized with a minor head injury.

He missed the would-be hitman, who fled in a car with two other people in it, presumably members of a local gang.
