An elderly man has shot and killed a teenager in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. In CCTV footage, the 15-year-old and his accomplices pull up to the driver as he is about to get out of his white Toyota Hilux pickup truck.
The young robber aims a pistol at the man, and when he pulls the door, the 78-year-old driver pulls out a 3.57 Magnum and shoots the attacker. The teenager falls to the ground, and his friends' van speeds away. A pensioner shoots a person lying on the ground, and then fires a shot at the attackers' car.
In total, the man fired five shots, the teenager was wounded in the head and chest. In his hand, the minor was holding a fake pistol similar to a .22-caliber Bersa Thunder.
Police are continuing to search for the two people who were in the van. Investigators are classifying the case as aggravated robbery.
Local prosecutor Diego Rulli will not bring charges against the pensioner. According to him, the man defended himself and used a weapon for which he has a permit.
This is the second such incident in Buenos Aires in January. In the first case, a minor was shot dead while trying to steal a motorcycle in the La Tablada area.
