In Malaysia, a rapist kidnapped a girl during prayer in a mosque (5 photos + 1 video)
On February 21, a 19-year-old criminal attempted to sexually assault a girl at a mosque in Batang Kali, Selangor, Malaysia. The victim's relatives were praying and did not notice that the child was missing.
CCTV footage shows a man in a yellow T-shirt running behind women who are praying. He grabs the girl, who appears to be no more than 10 years old, and disappears into a nearby room with her. Meanwhile, the women continue to pray.
Another camera recorded the attacker trying to take off the girl's pants, and she resists with all her might and cries loudly. After a few seconds of struggle, the attacker runs away, probably fearing capture. The girl quickly dresses and, clutching her stomach, returns to the prayer room.
The next day, Police Chief Ahmad Faizal Tahreem told local media that the suspect had been identified and was in custody.
An officer commented: "We have arrested the suspect. Investigation is underway. It has been established that the man was not acquainted with the victim."
