On May 10, 16-year-old Hussein Mirbani went paragliding over the coastal city of Sahel Alma, near Beirut, Lebanon. The Australian tourist slipped out of the harness and fell 300 m.
The footage shows Hussein and his instructor preparing to take off. The parachute opens and they soar over the abyss.
According to preliminary information, the belts were not properly secured. The instructor fled the scene, police are still searching.
The owner of a paragliding company operating in the nearby city of Jounieh has been arrested.
Hussein's family appeared on the Lebanese television channel Al Arabiya calling for those responsible to be found and punished.

The teenager arrived with his mother and brothers. After the tragedy, his father went to Lebanon to bury Hussein.
"The day Hussein's parents leave Lebanon will be the hardest day of their lives," said the deceased's cousin, Sam Mehrbani.

The grief-stricken family are expected to return home this week.
The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that consular assistance was being provided to the Australian's parents.
"Our deepest condolences go out to the family at this difficult time," a department spokesman said. "Out of respect for privacy, we are unable to comment."

The incident occurred two months after 52-year-old hang glider Ricardo Stecanella died in southern Brazil. The man jumped from a peak in the municipality of Timbe do Sul. Shortly after takeoff, the wings of the structure folded, and the Brazilian fell from a height of 200 meters.
