A skydiver who crashed in Russia recorded the last seconds of his life on camera (2 photos + 1 video)

The athlete's reserve parachute opened too late, which led to tragedy. 
On Sunday evening, a professional skydiver crashed during a training jump in the village of Putilovo, Leningrad Region. The recording from the athlete’s camera shows how he begins to be thrown from side to side in flight. From the subsequent frames it becomes clear that the reason is tangled lines. He tried to untangle them until the last moment, but to no avail. After failure, the athlete decided to use a reserve parachute, but it opened with a delay only 30 meters from the ground.
According to the transport prosecutor's office, the tragedy occurred due to the failure of the parachute system and the late deployment of the reserve device. Based on the incident, a criminal case was opened regarding the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
It is reported that the deceased's name was Andrey, he was 38 years old. His last jump was his fourth that day and 363rd in total. The man jumped with a group of 7 people from an AN-28 plane. His girlfriend was supposed to jump with Andrei that day, but due to weather conditions (there was a strong wind), the first-time jump was canceled.
