A young influencer in Thailand has died after being paid to drink an entire bottle of spirits.





Thanakarn Kanthi, who goes by the online name Bank Leicester, was pronounced dead in hospital.

The 21-year-old, who was known for taking on challenges to earn money for his family, volunteered to take on another whim that turned fatal. He was supposed to earn $850 if he drank a 350ml bottle of whiskey.



At the time of the incident, Kanti was reportedly at a party where people were filming him and cheering him on. Shortly after drinking the bottle, he became ill and is said to have vomited before being taken to hospital.

He was pronounced dead at around 3:40 a.m. on December 26.

Many of the social media star's fans have expressed their concerns about his grandmother, who raised him after his parents divorced when he was just two months old. At the age of seven, Kanti started selling garlands at a flea market to support himself and his grandmother.

No police investigation into the tragedy has been announced yet.
