Australian Reality TV Star Accused of Decapitating Lover (5 photos)
Reality TV contestant dismembers her boyfriend. Victim's head not found.
34-year-old Tamika Suanne-Rose Chesser, a former contestant on Australia's Beauty and the Geek, has been charged with murder. On June 17, emergency services received a call about a fire in an apartment in Port Lincoln. Upon arrival, firefighters found the charred and dismembered remains of 39-year-old Julian Storey, Chesser's boyfriend, in the bathtub.
"Unfortunately, we have not found Julian Storey's head," Superintendent Darren Filke told reporters. "I can only imagine how devastating this news is for Julian's family. It is important to us that we find the head so that his loved ones can have a proper burial and the deceased can find peace."
Police have also released CCTV footage and images of a woman, believed to be Chesser, dressed head-to-toe in black and walking around the South Australian town with three dogs.
The footage, which does not show the woman's face, was taken just hours after the brutal murder. Fielke has asked locals to look at CCTV or dashcam footage to help with the investigation.
The actress and model was jailed after police found her unconscious near the crime scene, according to court documents. She is also accused of disposing of human remains and assaulting an officer.
"She didn't kill, she's not capable of it," Chesser's sister, Kiya-Mae, said. She explained that Tamika had endured "a life of trauma and abuse" that had "seared her brain."
Chesser, who has been denied bail, is reportedly set to appear in court in December.
