British politician spied on women in his bathroom for 14 years (4 photos)
Former British politician Robert Holden has been jailed for six years for spying on women with hidden cameras.
The man at the centre of the investigation was 51-year-old Robert Holden from Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire. It emerged that the man, who rented out flats, had hidden cameras in bathrooms and bedrooms and had been spying on women for years.
The pervert owned a computer store and was also a member of the local council of the Conservative Party of Great Britain. He rented out apartments for a small fee to vulnerable women who were experiencing problems in their personal lives or were left without money. Holden's political activities allowed him to easily gain the trust of victims.
The devices seized from the man contained footage of women using the toilet, taking a shower, and having sex with their partners. Holden was arrested thanks to his latest victim, 32-year-old single mother Heidi Marney. She found a hidden camera in the bathroom. The woman found it strange that there was an alarm sensor installed there. She opened the cover of the device, found a camera and microphone inside, and contacted the police.
During the investigation, it turned out that the pervert stole personal photos and videos from the electronic devices of his computer store customers. After being charged in 2022, Holden fled to Cape Verde, but was apprehended and returned to the UK. He pleaded guilty in 2023 and was sentenced to six years in prison in 2024.
