A man was first saved from death, and then sentenced to death (2 photos)
This story began in India in 2012, when the family of 42-year-old Pramath Ghosal lost their jobs due to the coronavirus, and his income as a private tutor decreased significantly.
His relatives lived at his expense for several months, including his 38-year-old married sister. At the same time, according to Pramath himself, they sucked money out of him endlessly, and he, having fallen into depression, became completely disillusioned with life. So much so that one fateful day he killed his father, mother and sister. And then he slit his wrists.
But here's the problem, on that very day his students came to pay for the lessons. They saw their dying mentor in a pool of blood and called the police. And then it turned out that there were three more corpses in the house. The half-dead man was urgently taken to the hospital.
The doctors fought long and hard for Pramat's life, literally pulled him back from the brink of death. But all their efforts were pointless. After the suicidal man recovered, he was arrested. They investigated for three years and came to the conclusion that he was guilty after all and depression was not a reason to kill relatives.
A trial judge in Chinsurah called the crime "the rarest of the rare" and sentenced him to death on Monday. He will now be hanged.
