In Istanbul, a court sentenced a terrorist who killed 6 people in the city center to 1794 years in prison (3 photos + 5 videos)

The prosecution asked for 3,000 years behind bars for her.

On November 13, 2022, an explosion occurred on Istiklal Street in Istanbul. It killed 6 people and injured 81 more. Among the victims were three of our citizens.

Soon, security forces identified the woman who had placed and activated the bomb on a pedestrian street.

And they tied her up. 10 hours passed from the explosion to the arrest.

This is 36-year-old Syrian citizen Ahlam al-Bashir. During interrogation, she admitted that she had undergone training in the camps of the Syrian Kurdish People's Self-Defense Units.

There were 36 people involved in the case with her. Four of them were released from the courtroom, the rest received various terms behind bars. Ahlyam al-Bashir herself stated at the meeting that she “will not defend herself” and “will accept any sentence that will be passed against her.”

Because she understood well that after what she had done, there could be no question of any leniency. And so it happened.

Under articles about violating the unity and integrity of the state and the deliberate murder of six people, the terrorist was sentenced to 1794 years in prison. The prosecutor's office asked for 3,009 years in prison for her, but agreed with this court decision.

And at the beginning of April this year, local security forces detained a citizen of Tajikistan and a native of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul. They were suspected of preparing another terrorist attack in Turkey.

In the house where Tajik citizen Faziljon A. (37 years old) and a native of Kyrgyzstan Zulfiya S. (41 years old) were hiding, there were police uniforms, police flashing lights, walkie-talkies, a holster for a knife and a pistol, as well as digital materials containing instructions (for committing a terrorist attack, approx.), - said representatives of the special services.

After a series of interrogations, the Tajik was arrested, and the Kyrgyz citizen was deported to her homeland.
