Food Delivery Driver Falls into Empty Elevator Shaft in Under-Construction Building (4 Photos + 1 Video)

A shocking video from China has gone viral on social media. It captures the moment when a food delivery man, not noticing an empty elevator shaft in front of him in a building under construction, falls into it with all his might. Spoiler: he was badly injured, but survived. 
The incident occurred on the evening of March 12 in the Chinese city of Wenzhou.
A courier named Ke, working in delivery, did not notice the danger on his way.
He calmly walks down the corridor, holding bags of food that he must deliver to the construction workers in this building. And the next second it falls into the void.
The man fell from the third floor to the second and suffered serious spinal injuries as a result of the fall.
He was taken to the hospital and operated on; his life is now out of danger, but he faces a long recovery.
“This happened in a factory building under construction, the lighting in the corridor was poor,” the victim told local media. “There were no barriers around the hole, and I just flew down.” My lumbar spine was damaged and my bones were crushed.”
Local police confirmed the incident, but did not say whether any legal consequences were expected for the factory for not properly marking the danger zone.
