A sadist was detained in the Kaluga Region who tied a dog to a car and dragged it 7 kilometers along the Kaluga-Medyn highway. Near the village of Akatova, the man stopped and abandoned the dog on the side of the road. Fortunately, the people who filmed the video followed the sadist and picked up the dog. They immediately contacted volunteers, who took the dog.

The dog turned out to be a purebred. He has multiple wounds on his body and paws. Fortunately, the dog is alive and has every chance of recovering. All vital organs are intact. There may be scars, but this is not critical, veterinarians believe.

The animal abuser has already been taken to the police. He turned out to be a 42-year-old resident of the Dzerzhinsky district of Kaluga. The police interrogated him. It turned out that the animal abuser has his own version of events. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the animal abuser. According to the Kaluga prosecutor's office, the man faces up to three years in prison under the article on cruelty to animals.

"The district prosecutor's office is coordinating the activities of law enforcement agencies to establish all the circumstances of the incident," the press service said.
