A girl fought off a kidnapper
In the UK, a 20-year-old girl fought off a stranger who attacked her on the street.
22-year-old Cameron Boxall was sentenced to five years in prison on May 9 for a crime he committed on August 5, 2024, in the city of Hove. Then the young man attacked the girl, dragged her into a car parked at the curb and tried to drive away. The incident was captured on video, filmed by a CCTV camera and a random witness.
The footage shows how Boxall grabbed the girl, who was returning from work, and dragged her to the car. The British woman began to fight back, but the attacker managed to push her into the car and drive off. However, the girl continued to resist and did not let the car door slam. As a result, Boxall pushed her out of the car and disappeared.
During the investigation, it turned out that the criminal had chosen a victim in advance and was following her. The young man stole a car and deliberately placed it on the path the girl usually took home. During the fight, the victim received several bruises and abrasions.
During the trial, Boxall admitted to kidnapping, carjacking, theft, possession of drugs and other crimes. His victim said that she had suffered psychological trauma and was now afraid to go out alone, although she understands that the likelihood of such an attack on her being repeated is extremely low.
