A man rammed his ex-wife and her friends while they were dining at a cafe
In Thailand, a 62-year-old man rammed a pickup truck into the veranda of a cafe where his ex-wife was dining with friends, injuring seven people, two in critical condition.
The incident occurred in Buriram Province. 34-year-old Pensri and seven friends were celebrating a friend's departure abroad. Around 9 p.m., a white pickup truck crashed into the cafe at high speed and slammed directly into their table. Seven people were injured, two were hospitalized in serious condition, and only one dinner participant escaped unharmed.
Pensri's ex-husband, 62-year-old Samorn, was driving the truck. A friend of the woman's told police that he had driven past twice and looked at the group. Friends say the driver was jealous over her new boyfriend. The driver claims he dropped his phone and became distracted, not even knowing his wife was in the cafe. He has been charged with careless driving. If intent is proven, the article may be reclassified as attempted murder.
