Fifty horses died of starvation at a stud farm in the Stavropol Territory. The employees of the enterprise sounded the alarm by sending animal rights activists footage of animal corpses scattered throughout the territory.
The Stavropol stud farm got rid of a dozen horses that were starved to death. Footage of burning dead animals.
As animal volunteers reported, they received information from employees of the SPCA of the Stavropolsky breeding plant, located in the Aleksandrovsky District, about the critical condition of the horses.
Volunteer Irina noted that problems at the stud farm arose back in 2016, when they tried to demolish the enterprise along with the horses, but the initiative group managed to defend it. At the same time, the owner of the plant refuses to sell the animals and then, eight years ago, promised to preserve them.
But almost 8 years later, the workers of the enterprise sounded the alarm again, sending footage of animal corpses scattered throughout the territory.
According to local media reports, a businessman originally from Syria with Russian citizenship owns the stud farm.
Animal volunteers visited the Stavropolsky SPKA breeding plant. At the same moment, veterinary inspectors arrived at the enterprise. Activists were not allowed into the territory, but they managed to communicate with some workers, writes Bloknot.ru.
According to plant workers, since the spring of 2024, 50 horses have died at the stable due to hunger. There is not even grass in the area where the animals graze - the exhausted cattle have eaten everything. There is no hay, no oats, no straw. The horses supposedly had to eat their own excrement.
Animals were dying (some did not even have time to decompose), while others, still alive, walked over the corpses. Nothing was cleaned up. When this nightmare was leaked online, everything was removed. Why aren't horses sold? The owner, as we were told, is somewhere abroad, and each head is allocated a certain number of hectares on which grain is sown. It doesn’t matter to the animals, according to the papers everything is smooth. The land is needed, that’s why animals are tortured,” animal volunteer Yana Kucherenko told reporters.
Footage captured by eyewitnesses. They show how another horse became weak and fell on the territory of the Stavropol stud farm. The breeder Tamara Kalashnikova reported this to the TV channel.
According to her, the animals were taken out to be fed in order to hide their thinness against the backdrop of upcoming inspections. At the same time, Kalashnikova notes that it is impossible to sharply fatten horses after fasting - this can lead to death.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed the head of the Investigative Committee for the Stavropol Territory to report on the appeal of residents of the region about cruelty to animals.
And Rospotrebnadzor, based on the results of an inspection, revealed that the Stavropol stud farm does not provide animals with feed that is safe for their health - the horses show signs of exhaustion.
The Rosselkhoznadzor Office also issued a warning to PKZ Stavropolsky LLC about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory legal requirements. The necessary materials have been prepared for coordination with the prosecutor's office of an unscheduled on-site inspection of the enterprise.
