Kamil Mohammed Nadir, 55, hit his 40-year-old son Rebat Kamil with his Mercedes SUV at the Local car wash in Dalmuir, near Glasgow, Scotland. Rebat caught his father cheating and almost paid with his life.

CCTV captured the moment Kamil, a former Iraqi freedom fighter, drove into his son. The man was literally smashed into the wall.

Although there is no sound on the recordings, the High Court in Kilmarnock, where the case was heard, was told the victim shouted at his father: "You're trying to kill me over a woman."

The feud between father and son flared up when Nadir split from his wife. Nadir accused Rebat of telling his siblings about their father's infidelity.

"My dad thinks I told my brother he was seeing another woman. He didn't. I just said I saw him with someone," Rebat told police.

The father was furious. He screamed that he would kill everyone and rushed to his son's car wash.

Prosecutor Donald Davidson read Rebat's statement to police in court: "My father tried to kill me. If he wanted to scare me, he would have stopped the car, but he didn’t.”

However, in court, Rebat denied what he had said earlier. He said that he did not remember anything and loved his father. The man asked the court to allow him to approach his parent in the dock and kiss his hand.

Meanwhile, Nadir’s youngest son, Datsan, told the police that after the attack, he and his second brother, Daban, beat their father.

“Rebat cried and shouted at his father: “You tried to kill me because of a woman.” And he replied: “That’s exactly what I’ll do.”

However, in court, Datsan changed his testimony and said that he did not remember said.

But Davidson reminded him: "Isn't it true that your father shouted in Kurdish, 'I'm going to kill you all,' before he ran over your brother?"

Datsan admitted: "It was true at the time."

Paul Mullen, Nadir's defense attorney, asked his youngest son: "When your father got out of the car and put his hands up, did he say he wanted to kill himself?"

Datsan replied: "I don't remember. He was very shaken and pale."

After a three-day trial, the man was found guilty.

Judge Scott Pattison, who sentenced the former freedom fighter to prison, said: "I find that you intentionally hit your son with your car and did it at a high rate of speed. Fortunately, he did not suffer fatal injuries."
