A man poisoned his wife so that he could marry her daughter (3 photos)

A resident of Indiana, USA, had been adding drugs to his wife's soda for several months. 71-year-old Alfred Ruf wanted to become a widower and marry his stepdaughter.





The man admitted his guilt and said that it was his wife's daughter who initiated the poisoning and gave him the illegal substances.

In January 2022, Lisa Bishop, 51, turned herself in to the Wayne County Sheriff's Department and provided her husband's pills, as well as a can of Coke with a "whitish residue" at the bottom. A test revealed methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), cocaine, and benzodiazepines in her system.



Alfred was questioned and stated that he had been in an intimate relationship with his wife's 31-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. According to him, the mistress suggested adding poison to his mother's drinks in September 2021.

According to the case file, the stepdaughter's friend was also involved in the conspiracy. She also had an affair with Ruf. While the legal wife was unconscious, the lovers had orgies.



The pensioner admitted that he gave his wife drugs 12 times from September to December 2021. The woman sought medical help 6 times. She suffered from severe headaches, drowsiness, dizziness, diarrhea. The criminal was consumed by guilt, and in the end he told his wife the truth.

On August 26, Alfred was sentenced to four years in prison. After his release, he will be on probation for five years.
