According to eyewitnesses, residents of the ill-fated house repeatedly complained about its unsatisfactory condition. 
In the Komi Republic, part of a dormitory collapsed. The incident occurred on Pechora Avenue in the city of Pechora. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the collapse occurred from the 1st to 3rd floors of a five-story building. However, judging by eyewitness footage, the entire entrance collapsed, including the 4th and 5th floors.
According to preliminary data, there are no dead or injured, but there may still be people under the rubble. Rescuers have already evacuated 14 people, including five children, from the emergency building.
It is reported that local residents have repeatedly complained to the relevant departments about many faults in the house. In 2023, after a prosecutor's investigation, two criminal cases were opened for rendering life-support facilities unusable and for the negligence of this and other dormitories. However, no one resettled people then.
