A 33-year-old plastic surgery victim, called a "living blow-up doll," died in Thailand (9 photos)
The blogger went by the pseudonym Mary Magdalene and was known for her numerous plastic surgeries.
Canadian-Mexican influencer and model Mary Magdalene (real name Denise Yvonne Harvis Gongora) died on the Thai island of Phuket after falling from the balcony of the Patong Tower Hotel. Her body was found in the parking lot beneath the building. The tragedy occurred on December 9, but the 33-year-old tourist's identity was officially confirmed only several days later, after which her death was reported by international media.
According to Thai police, Maria checked into her ninth-floor room just a few hours before her death, booking only one night and staying alone at the hotel. Staff discovered her body during a search of the premises, and found a pair of carefully left flip-flops on the balcony, suggesting she deliberately stepped out onto the railing shortly before her fall. The final cause of death will be determined by forensic experts.
Shortly before the tragedy, the blogger changed her Instagram handle, adding the word "died" to her name, and also posted a fragment of the final scene from the film "The Truman Show," which fans perceived as an ominous hint.
Mary Magdalene gained notoriety thanks to her extreme passion for plastic surgery: according to tabloid estimates, she spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on procedures. The girl had her first surgery at 21, and then went under the knife so often that there was practically nothing natural left in her appearance.
Mary Magdalene was once quite a pretty girl.
The procedures include liposuction of the body and face, breast and buttock augmentation with large implants, and the so-called Brazilian lift, in which the buttocks are filled with fat from other parts of the patient's body. Not to mention fillers in various areas of the face, lip reshaping, veneers, and eyelid surgery.
Transformation Stages From a pretty dancer to a flamboyant freak model
One day, one of her breast implants burst, and she had to go without one breast for a while until a surgeon restored the missing one.
Mary Magdalene was called a "living inflatable doll" and suffered from haters. At the same time, she needed constant attention from her followers, and she was dependent on their reactions to her photos and videos.
Three years ago, a woman was kicked off a plane.
"I was removed from a flight because of the way I look. Please stop this discrimination. Please stop, it's disgusting. I feel humiliated and embarrassed, you can't even imagine. I feel like a monster. I looked too revealing, so I was kicked out. But it's illegal to do this, so the flight attendant said I was ignoring instructions," the plastic surgery victim complained at the time.
After learning of Maria's death, her friends, followers, and fans (it turns out there are some) left mass condolences on her social media, noting that she had previously spoken openly about psychological difficulties and regret over her radical change in appearance. ![]()
