24-year-old Joe DiMeo from the United States underwent a grueling 23-hour operation for a face and hand transplant in 2020. This happened after he was in a terrible car accident and received third degree burns on 80% of his body. Recently, a man told his followers on TikTok how dogs reacted to his new appearance.

Despite the fact that Joe now has a completely different face and hands, his four-legged companions Buster and Kirkland recognize their owner without any problems.

"Buster saw me burned from the accident and after the transplant. When I got the transplant, my parents brought him to the hospital. He ran straight to me and stayed by my side, although there were a lot of strangers there," DiMeo said, holding his pets on his lap .
