The Vodoley camp site caught fire in the Krasnodar region. Quite a popular vacation spot, the cost of accommodation in cottages there was from $50 per day.
The fire covered about 500 square meters, people had to escape in their swimsuits. 50 people were evacuated from the base.
The video also recorded an explosion - previously, a gas cylinder exploded.
The fire was then contained and extinguished.
According to the administration of the Absheronsky district, on March 31 at 13:05 information was received about a fire at the Vodoley camp site, located along the route from the Krasny Dagestan farm to the village of Nizhny Novgorod. According to preliminary information, the cause could have been an outbreak of a gas-air mixture from a gas cylinder. One victim with a fracture was taken to the local central district hospital. At 13:20, the fire was localized to an area of 500 square meters, the operational headquarters reported.
As a result of the incident, one person was hospitalized with a broken leg.
