How does a man with a very obscene tattoo on his stomach live (6 photos)
Richard Hart from Wales has been wearing an image of a naked woman with her legs spread wide open for 20 years - and his navel, of course, is in the most interesting part of the composition. The man claims that this tattoo usually doesn’t bother anyone. Although anything can happen.
It took Richard Hart, 60, just four hours and less than $70 to get an obscene tattoo on his stomach for his 40th birthday. According to him, most people find it more interesting than disgusting.
“If I charged a pound for everyone who asked to be photographed with him, I would be a very rich man,” the man laughs.
However, law enforcement agencies are not always friendly. For some reason, obscenity on the belly does not amuse them much.
Richard once went on vacation to Spain and the police there threatened to arrest him if he didn’t cover his tattoo with a T-shirt.
“I was in Benidorm, it was very hot, I took off my shirt and two policemen came and told me to cover up or they would handcuff me,” he recalls. “We had a bit of an argument and I had to wear the T-shirt for the rest of the holiday.”
Hart got the idea for the tattoo from an acquaintance who had a nude woman tattooed on his body, and Hart decided he “might as well take it even further.”
“Of course it's a little obscene, but it never bothered me,” he said of the tattoo, which has been emblazoned on his stomach for two decades.
Hart's partner, Kay Ritchie, 66, isn't bothered by the controversial drawing, and Hart says both his daughter Melissa, 38, and son Alex, 35, are cool with it. However, you still have to cover your belly in front of your grandchildren, the man admits.
