In the Omsk region, the prosecutor's office has completed the investigation into the criminal case of a resident of the village of Odesskoye. She is charged under Part 3 of Art. 30 tbsp. 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder by the mother of a newborn child).
According to investigators, the woman was walking in the park with her little daughter when suddenly she went into labor. The woman gave birth to the baby in the bushes and left it there, going home with her daughter. The baby was found by a passerby who was in a hurry to get to work. The woman warmed the baby and called emergency services. The doctors managed to save him, and the baby was born full-term and healthy.
Finding a woman turned out to be difficult. Investigators collected biomaterial from more than 600 local residents and conducted hundreds of comparative studies and genetic examinations. As a result, they managed to detain the negligent mother.
In a conversation with the police, the woman explained that she simply did not have the opportunity to support another child; no one knew about the pregnancy, including relatives and a partner living separately. The birth came suddenly during her walk in the park, where she decided to leave the baby. The woman was released on her own recognizance and declared sane.
The baby who miraculously survived on the streets is now in a foster family. He was adopted almost as soon as he got into the orphanage.
