Drunk British women got into a brawl in a bar in Mallorca (6 photos + 1 video)

Mallorcans are extremely dissatisfied with the dominance of constantly drunk and aggressive

cessive tourists. Here is a typical sketch of what happens on the streets in the evenings: two half-naked women attack each other and, grappling, roll on the ground, while a crowd of vacationers nearby chants “Fight, fight, fight.”

The spectacle is quite unsightly. Drunk British women started a brawl, others cheered them on as if it were a gladiator fight. One of the women was literally without pants - in a thong - but that didn't stop her from putting her opponent in a chokehold and then pouncing on a Good Samaritan who tried to intervene and break up the raging couple.

And the most amazing thing is that all this happened just a few hours after the authorities of Mallorca announced new rules aimed at combating “tourist drunkenness”.

The fight took place on Saturday evening in Cala d'Or on Mallorca's southeast coast, an area filled with bars and restaurants. The incident was dealt with with the help of local residents and appears to have happened without the police.

It all happened hours after regional government officials announced tougher legislation to stamp out "drunken tourism" in the island's party resorts, including parts of Magaluf.

British tourists have been warned they now face fines of up to £1,300 if they are caught drinking alcohol on the street in places such as Magaluf, the party district of Punta Ballena.

Stores selling alcohol are also ordered to close at night after 9:30 p.m.

The areas affected by the changes brought in by the regional government's four-year decree to combat so-called "overtourism" are roughly the same as before and include some of the most popular resorts among Britons in Mallorca and Ibiza, including Magaluf and San Antonio.

The incident, which happened on Saturday night, is also being used by campaigners protesting against tourist overcrowding.

Last month there were demonstrations in the Canary Islands.

A demonstration is scheduled for May 25 in the central square of the capital of Mallorca, Palma.

The protesters will try to make a name for themselves using the slogan: “Mallorca is not for sale.” They call on politicians to address pressing problems such as congested roads and a lack of affordable housing.
