A Brazilian's unsuccessful attempt to detain a robber

43-year-old architect Jefferson Diaz Aguiar was driving to work on the road to Sao Paulo when he noticed a motorcyclist who took a woman's wedding ring and phone. The man decided to detain the criminal.

The man did not call the police, but took the initiative into his own hands - he hit the robber when he was crossing the road. The blow was not so strong: the robber immediately got to his feet and shot the offender three times.

One bullet hit Aguiar in the back of the head, a few hours later he died in the hospital.

Neither the shooter nor his partner, who was on duty on the other side of the street, were detained.
