A man saved a boy who was electrocuted
In Chennai, India, a man came to the aid of a schoolboy who had been electrocuted. The man said that he had been electrocuted by touching the boy.
Nine-year-old Jayden was walking home from school along a flooded street when he accidentally stepped on a bare wire hidden in the murky water and fell. At that moment, 24-year-old Kannan Tamizhselvan was riding past on a motorcycle. “I thought he must have slipped, but when I got closer, I saw his arms and legs shaking and realized that he had been electrocuted,” the man said.
Tamizhselvan tried in vain to call for help. Then he got to Jayden from the unflooded gravel, then grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the water. The man said that he had been electrocuted by touching the boy. Tamizhselvan then put the boy on the ground and performed CPR. He later said he learned it from a YouTube video.
The man looked through Jayden's things, found his father's phone number and called him. "We immediately rushed to the hospital. I thank him every day since then," the father of the injured boy said.
