A risky rescue of a woman in Astana was caught on video
In Astana, firefighters rescued a woman from a burning apartment. The driver of a fire truck, who was on the balcony, intercepted the woman from his colleague, who was on the floor above. The man held the victim and dragged her into the neighbors' apartment.
The online publication Tengrinews.kz, citing the press service of the Astana Department of Emergency Situations, reports:
"Upon the arrival of firefighters, it was established that household items and furniture were burning in the apartment on the seventh floor. The firefighters - the commander of the SPCh-2 department, senior civil defense sergeant Baglan Bekeshenov and the driver of the SPCh-2, senior civil defense sergeant Kadyr Omerzakov - rescued a woman from the balcony on the seventh floor. The fire was completely extinguished at 02:25. 12 people and three units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire"
