Novosibirsk teenagers stole a hive of bees in Russia to bring honey to their parents
The incident occurred in the resort town of Belokurikha. The owner of the apiary contacted law enforcement agencies about the theft of a hive with a family of bees and honeycombs filled with honey.
The police looked at CCTV cameras and found out that three teenagers were involved in the crime.
Minors aged 14 and 16 years who came to training camps were suspected of theft.
The young men told the police that they snuck into the apiary, completely wrapped in clothes, and stole the hive.
Then they took out the honeycombs from it and threw the rest into the ravine. They explained their action by their desire to bring honeycombs to their parents as a gift.
The damage from the teenagers' actions was estimated at $200. A criminal case has been initiated, the minors are under recognizance not to leave the place.
