A drug addict attacked a passerby with a knife in Russia
A 23-year-old guy, in a state of drug intoxication, did not like a random passer-by on the street. He followed the man and, after waiting a moment, stabbed him multiple times with a knife.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg reports:
On May 6, at about 1 a.m., the police received a report of a man being beaten near house 12 on Partizana Germana Street. Police officers immediately dispatched to the scene found a 51-year-old St. Petersburg man with multiple stab wounds near house 12 on Partizan German Street. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition.
The police quickly identified the attacker. He turned out to be a 23-year-old local resident. According to preliminary data, the motive for the attack was not greed. A young man, while in a state of drug intoxication, saw a random passer-by whom he simply did not like.
A few hours later, the attacker was detained by police in his apartment at 22 on Partizana Germana Street. A folding knife, which he allegedly used to strike, was confiscated from the detainee. The police investigation opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm). The suspect was detained on the basis of Article 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
