Belarusian drivers have learned to drain diesel from a diesel locomotive while moving (1 photo + 1 video)
They were able to steal more than 12 tons of fuel.
The scheme was invented and organized by the drivers and their assistants at the depot in the glorious city of Bobruisk. As Belarusian media report:
They entered into a criminal conspiracy with five residents of the urban village of Oktyabrsky, Gomel Region, with the aim of enriching themselves at the expense of public funds.
In general, the depot workers wrote false diesel consumption in the documents. Their accomplices waited for the diesel locomotive in the forest, poured fuel into cans and dumped them on the ground. Then they picked them up, loaded them into cars and sold them at a reduced price.
In total, they recovered 12.5 tons, worth 29 thousand Belarusian rubles (8 thousand dollars).
The two kidnappers were dealt with quite humanely: one was released under an amnesty, the second was given an administrative sentence. Another one managed to escape abroad. But the rest were charged with a criminal case: “Misappropriation and embezzlement of property by the person to whom it was entrusted, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, on a large scale.” Their property was seized.
