Irish gangster Stephen O'Reilly, known in narrow circles under the pseudonym "the real Pablo", was buried in a golden coffin with floral arrangements and "white powder".
The gangster, who had previous convictions for theft and other serious offences, died in the crash on the L1005 in Bracknagh, Co Offaly, UK. According to law enforcement officers, the accident occurred on Monday, May 20. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
In footage from the funeral, a group of men and two women can be seen carrying O'Reilly's large coffin out of the hearse to the accompaniment of Tina Turner's "Simply the Best" before placing it in the window of the house. One of the participants in the farewell ceremony said: “He will return home the same way he came out.”
In front of the church at the funeral mass, several stands were placed in memory of the deceased. One of them featured a picture of white powder and the words “No comment.” Another features a topless portrait of a gangster with the caption "The Real Pablo. The One and Only Gangster Reilly."
Friends of the gangster, who left behind a minor son, shared the news of his death on social networks, noting that it looked like a terrible dream.
“I literally can’t deal with this or even think that this is true”;
"What are we ever going to do without you? I can't believe I'm writing this. I miss you so much, Reilly. Why did God take you? It's true what they say, he only takes the best. We're all in pieces";
"Literally can't get over it. You were a true Legend! A guy with a heart of gold who would do anything for his friends and family. I will never forget everything you did for me."
