An Indian man brought his sister's body to the bank to withdraw money from her account
In the Indian state of Odisha, a man walked three kilometers in the scorching sun, carrying his sister's remains on his shoulder. All to withdraw a small amount from her bank account.
The man was unable to access the money from his sister's account due to bureaucracy.
Kalra Munda died two months ago. Her husband and child also passed away. The woman's brother, Jitu Munda, was the only surviving relative.
The man wanted to withdraw 19,300 rupees from his sister's account. The bank asked him to either identify the account owner or provide a death certificate and will. Jitu did not have these documents. According to NDTV, obtaining the documents was "an impossible task" for the poor villager.
Devastated by the bank's refusal and unable to navigate the bureaucratic system, Jitu dug up his sister's grave, wrapped her body in cloth, and carried her three kilometers in the scorching sun.

When the man arrived at the bank with his "cargo," customers and employees were stunned. Police were called to the scene, and Jita was assured that the matter would be handled "with humanity."
