A man's fatal encounter with his ex-wife and mother-in-law

A resident of the Brazilian city of Guarapari visited his ex-wife to find out why she had withdrawn a large sum of money from their joint account. He soon realized he would have to confront not only his ex, but also her mother.

Felipe Catanio de Araujo from the Brazilian city of Guarapari clearly underestimated the dedication of his ex-mother-in-law (in every sense of the word). He hoped to establish a dialogue with her and obtain an explanation, but instead he was stabbed in the chest and died in the hospital without ever regaining consciousness.

On the afternoon of July 27, 32-year-old Felipe stopped by his 22-year-old ex-wife's home to find out why she had withdrawn a large sum from their joint account. However, he ended up confronting her 53-year-old mother, not his girlfriend. She immediately advised the father of their eight-month-old grandson to get lost, but in the process, she punctured her bicycle tire.

Felipe did indeed roll away, but curses rained down on him, and he turned back. A few seconds later, he was lying against the wall of the house, bleeding profusely.

The mother-in-law forbade her daughter from assisting her ex-husband, even though she was studying to be a nurse. She went home, washed up, and then went to the police. After questioning, she was released, as the incident was deemed self-defense—Felipe was carrying brass knuckles.
