In Dundee, two criminals attempted to rob a store, citing hunger as an excuse.
Early one morning, the owner of Grossett's in Dundee, Scotland, was awakened by a loud noise. Two men attempted to break into the premises, claiming to be desperately hungry.
The man lives on the second floor, above his shop. Looking out the window, he saw two strangers smashing into his store. When the owner angrily called out to the intruders, they casually asked him to come down and open the door for them, explaining that they were desperately hungry. Naturally, the owner refused to give in, and the men left, apparently still hungry.
The police were notified of the incident, and while they search for the strangers, social media is buzzing with discussion, lamenting the brazenness of the criminals. Some commentators believe the men should ask to go to prison themselves—at least they'll get food there.
