Schoolchildren set off firecrackers in the elevator of an apartment building in Russia

Two schoolchildren entered the freight elevator and lit a firecracker. They threw the pyrotechnic device into a corner and pressed themselves against the opposite wall. When the explosion occurred, a loud bang was heard in the cabin. The children covered their ears with their hands. Then, a smoke screen filled the elevator.

The elevator stopped and the children sat in the smoke for 20 minutes.

Residents are now looking for two minor “demolitionists.”
