In Russia, a stowaway beat up a conscientious passenger for a remark
In the Moscow metro, a stowaway tried to jump through the turnstile after a man. The passenger who paid for the fare did not want to let the impudent person through and reprimanded him. A fight ensued after which the victim required medical attention.
The Moscow prosecutor's office reports:
A 30-year-old man, not wanting to pay the fare on the Moscow metro, tried to go to the Shabolovskaya metro station for free, behind a man who had paid the fare. The passenger who paid for the fare noticed the illegal actions and made a remark to the stowaway, in response to which the attacker pushed him and began to strike him, including in the head.
The actions of the attacker are qualified under Art. 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (beatings for hooligan reasons). He admitted guilt. His criminal prosecution is under control at the Moscow Metro Prosecutor's Office.
