Officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Cheboksary detained five suspects in a series of arson attacks on doors in apartment buildings.
It was previously established that the attackers received tasks from an anonymous customer via messenger. For each illegal act they received from 5 to 15 thousand rubles. Investigators found that in this way the organizers of the crimes sought to intimidate and punish participants in the scheme for the illegal distribution of prohibited substances. These people took drugs from stash houses, but did not pay for them. Therefore, the door arsonists also left threatening inscriptions on the walls.
