The accident occurred on March 30 in the evening on Uspenskoye Highway in the village of Yudino, Odintsovo district, Moscow region. A 32-year-old drunk driver of a Chevrolet Camaro drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a Nissan Qashqai. The female driver of the Nissan died at the scene of the accident. She was wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Chevrolet and his passenger were hospitalized in a Zvenigorod hospital. The Chevrolet passenger is in a coma.
According to eyewitnesses, the culprit “was drunk as hell” and was driving at a speed of 130 km/h. Local residents say the driver was often seen driving drunk.
The mother of the alleged culprit is an associate professor at the department of general and social psychology at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, so many are afraid that the man may escape punishment.
