Tennis player pushed a girl serving balls
A video of a tennis match is being widely circulated on social media, in which Spanish tennis player Rafael Jodar allegedly pushed a serving girl as he was leaving the court after defeating Alex Mickelsen.
The athlete himself categorically denied the accusations at a press conference. He claimed the girl simply tripped over a rolled-up mat near the net while backing away, and there was no push from him.
The video has sparked a strong online outcry. Fans are divided: some are demanding a disciplinary investigation, while others, having examined additional angles, believe there was no direct contact.
As is often the case these days, the internet reacted much faster than the slow analysis of the situation. Within hours, Jodar was subjected to harsh criticism on social media from people convinced he intentionally pushed the girl.
Whether there was actual contact remains a matter of debate. However, the fact remains: a few seconds of video footage were enough to drag the young tennis player into a global online scandal.
