In Thailand, a 19-year-old saleswoman suffered burns after a colleague doused her with hot cooking oil. Paramedics and police arrived at the scene, and the victim was examined and given the necessary medical attention.

The woman, who suffered burns to one side and back, said that her neighbor at the kiosk unexpectedly splashed hot cooking oil on her while she was cooking. Rattika has no idea what prompted the attack. However, she did say that a few days earlier, a saleswoman named Fon had been listening intently to Rattika's conversation with a relative who approached her, and then suddenly insulted her. Rattika believed the conflict had ended, but as it turned out, that was not the case.

Fon refused to testify at the scene and was taken to the police station. However, several witnesses testified. They said that before splashing the oil, Fon shouted out Rattika's name, apparently expecting the girl to turn around and have the hot liquid splash in her face.
