A Chinese man nearly strangled himself while repeating a dangerous internet trend

A man from Guangzhou decided to try a viral challenge: tie himself up and try to escape. He wrapped himself in a blanket, tied a net around himself, and secured himself with plastic zip ties. However, he was unable to escape on his own. At some point, the situation became critical, and he began calling for help.

Luckily, a passing delivery man heard his cries. He called emergency services, who arrived shortly afterward. They had to literally cut the man out of the trap. According to rescuers, the situation was close to tragedy, as the zip ties had already begun to choke him.

How the poor man managed to become so entangled remains unknown.
