Thais attacked a British man who hit a woman in Pattaya

A British tourist riding a motorbike struck a woman in Thailand, drawing the ire of local residents.

The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, August 14, on a street in Pattaya. The British man took a wheelie on his bike and accidentally struck the 49-year-old woman. She suffered serious injuries and never regained consciousness. An ambulance arrived and took her to the hospital. She is in critical condition.

Police arrived at the scene, but the tourist refused to take responsibility for the incident. Local residents then decided to punish the man themselves. They rushed at him and beat him. Footage shows the British man attempting to escape the enraged Thais.

An investigation is underway.
