In Bogotá, Colombia, an 18-year-old man attempted to rob a restaurant with a pistol. Patrons overpowered and beat the attacker, then handed him over to the police. One of the guests suffered a shoulder wound.

The restaurant had been the target of three previous robberies earlier this year, and the robbers managed to escape with the proceeds in the first two instances.
