A retired police officer foiled a robbery

Three men attempted to rob a chicken egg warehouse in a Buenos Aires suburb. However, they were thwarted by a man who had previously worked for the city police for many years.

One of the attackers was shot in the abdomen and died three hours later. His 23-year-old accomplice was detained by police at the hospital after being treated for a gunshot wound. The third robber escaped.

A retired police officer working as a security guard at the facility was unharmed.
