Strong winds tore a cabin with a woman on it off a cable car in Switzerland

The incident occurred on Mount Titlis in the canton of Obwalden. A gust of wind exceeding 80 kilometers per hour snapped the cable of the cable car, and the cabin, having fallen from its perch, rolled down the snowy slope.

Rescuers who arrived by helicopter spent 30 minutes attempting to revive the only passenger inside the cabin—a local 61-year-old woman. However, their efforts were unsuccessful; the woman, who suffered very serious injuries, did not survive.
