A 25-year-old Malian man caused chaos yesterday in Piazza Caduti sul Lavoro. He spilled fuel on the ground and set it on fire at a gas station. Fortunately, the fire was extinguished within seconds, preventing serious consequences.
The man, who has no fixed address, had previously come to the attention of the police: last Sunday, the Carabinieri arrested him at Via Alberoni station for attempting to rob an Italian. He was released after a hearing, but yesterday's incident has once again drawn the attention of the authorities.
