The last performance of a Vietnamese athlete

A traditional Mon Wat (a Vietnamese form of wrestling) competition held on February 26 near Hanoi ended in tragedy. For a 44-year-old red belt athlete, it was his last performance. He suffered a fatal injury.

Medics who quickly arrived at the scene diagnosed the athlete with a broken neck. Despite emergency hospitalization and the efforts of doctors, the man could not be saved. He died in the hospital that same day.
